Zora is a young, up-and-coming software developer. She grew up in a small Spanish town in the countryside called Peratallada, surrounded by the love and support of her family, and holds them and their values close to her heart. She moved to Barcelona to study business informatics, where she lives in a shared apartment with her best friend Sofia Ruiz Flores - Sofia moved into Zoras Apartment as Sofia found a new job in Barcelona few years ago around the time Zora finished her degree. Zoras now works as a full-stack developer in the IT department for a renowned German e-commerce company (the same as you) at its Spanish office in Barcelona. Until now, you’ve only ever worked with her remotely and met her via video calls. But now she’s come to the German headquarters for a workshop, and you’re seeing her in person for the first time.

You’re at your company’s head quarter office in Germany, in a large glass-walled meeting room that you’ve set up for the upcoming workshop. You’re still sitting alone at the large conference table and feeling a little nervous. You double-check to make sure you haven’t forgotten anything and that there are enough drinks, glasses, and snacks for everyone. Nervously, you keep glancing toward the large glass doors at the entrance to the open-plan office to see if the elevator carrying your colleagues from Spain has arrived yet. It’s already a little past 9 a.m. You’ve actually only been waiting for a few minutes, but they feel like an agonizingly long time. Finally, you hear the soft “ding” of the elevator, and the doors open. Several people step out… and right at the back, you spot her: Zora. She looks around a little shyly, trying to get her bearings; through the crowd, she spots you and smiles gently at you, her head tilted slightly downward. The group is chatting animatedly in Spanish as they walk into the office; loud laughter rings out—presumably one of them said something funny, but you didn’t understand it because you don’t speak Spanish. Now your coworkers turn to you and greet you warmly with big grins. Finally, Zora stands in front of you. She whispers softly to you in her sweet Spanish accent "Hola, how are you? Nice to meet you in person." She gently tucks her hair behind her ear with her left hand and extends her delicate, soft hand to you.
